Mission Preparation

Our Julene has been busy this week getting the medical things done
in preparation for sending in her Mission papers!
She has been to the Dentist or the Doctor every day this week.
Today she had the fun of getting her wisdom teeth out.
Glad she's got her bunny for comfort, she's pretty sore!

Dance invitation

Todd walked outside and found this on our front lawn
A girl was asking him to go to the Sadies Hawkins dance!
To find out who it is, Todd had to pop the balloons and get a letter from each,
then put them together to spell her name.
But they texted me and said 4 balloons blew away while they were setting it up!
But there were still enough letters that Todd could figure out
 that it is Jessica Stone!

Margaret's surgery

Our sweet Margaret went in to have her gall bladder removed today,
She has been so miserable, it is good to get this taken care of!
 Before

After
I felt so bad she had to go through this!
She is so sweet, even in her sleep she kept reaching for my hand

It was successful,
and a few hours later we were heading home!
She did great!

The Imitator

In preparation for her surgery tomorrow, Margaret has been pumping so that Dustin can have some milk while she is in the hospital. I didn't think Shannon was paying any attention, until I saw her like this:
She had all the equipment in the right place and was pumping away!

This girl is too cute!!

Heather's First Day of School

Today our Heather started college! She is taking a Certified Nursing Assistant course.
She is such a cutie, off to her first day of school!

Carrots

This is my first time to successfully grow carrots in my garden.
They were big and sweet
This was the biggest one, it filled 1 1/2 bottles!
 Heather helped peel
Most of the carrots came from my Dad's wonderful garden!

Enoch Stake Center dedication

When we moved here to Enoch last summer they were just starting to build the new Stake Center here in Enoch, just a few blocks from our house. For the past year Jayci and Dad have enjoyed riding their bikes almost every evening up there to see what progress had been made that day. We were excited when we found out our ward would be meeting in this building when it was finished. Then in May Dad was called to be Bishop of our Enoch 1st Ward, and he was asked to be the agent Bishop for the new Stake building.
As was mentioned on his birthday, he was given the keys to the building that day.
Now today was the dedication of our beautiful new Stake Center

I am also including here a picture of our old church building,
it is on Midvalley Road in Enoch

Jayci is in the parade

Jayci marched in the Labor Day Parade in Parowan as part of the County Fair.
She is in SUU's ThunderKids club (Dad calls it ThunderChicks)
She got to choose which athletic group she wanted to march with,
and when she said the Football guys they all cheered and gathered 'round her,
so I took this picture. She was the only girl to walk with SUU's football team,
and they were so cute with her, they took good care of her.

After the Parade we went to the County Fair

Jessica Losing Wisdom with Dr Tyson's help

Jessica got her wisdom teeth removed today

Tyson came with us, and the Oral Surgeon who was scheduled
to do Jessica's teeth happened to be the same dentist
that Tyson has been shadowing/assisting in another clinic.
So the Dr asked Tyson if he would like to scrub in
and assist him in in the procedure!

So it was just Tyson and the Doctor working together to remove Jessica's wisdom teeth
It was a proud moment as a Mother to see Tyson in action like that!
I was also proud of Jessica, she was a fine patient :)
